The north pole is located in an ocean, surrounded by three continents, with floating ice there would be no such harm affect on the sea level if the floating ice melts. Well known animals in the north polar area are polar bears, walruses, fur seals, puffins, and bowhead whales.
The south pole is located on a continent, surrounded by three oceans, with a land-based ice cap that will raise sea level if the land-based ice melts. Well known animals in the south polar area are penguins, elephant seals, krill, and minke whales. ______________________________________________________________________ Luray va accommodations ~ Travel and change of place impart new vigor to the mind ~
